coming readings

Ok, ok, I have learnt my lesson. Economics turned out better than I had expected, at least I provided some valid arguments for some questions, but for the first time in my life I run out of time. As it was an open book exam and I was actually finding how things work out. L

Bed sides reading for the coming period are:-

Execution, the discipline of getting things done
Getting things done, the art of stress free productivity

And along will be challenging my old golden rule of focus and commitment, cause I tend to lose focus a lot and see how it will stand.

Economics

I hate economics. I really do, it seems to be the only science I took in college and never used it in my real life.
Economics incorporate in its heart 2 major sciences. Statistics and differentiation, both of which I don’t understand. All this add to my great love of economics.

Tomorrow I will be having an economics exam as part of my course, I didn’t study anything and to make things more embarrassing, it is an open book exam. Have 10 hours left with 7 chapters to go.

The thing is I feel I am studying quantum physiques.

this time, your prayers plsssss

Over and out

Birth Day

I value a present not by its price or wrapping, but by the effort and time spent thinking about it and the person being given to. By the words written on the card and spirit it was given.

This year I was lucky enough to have a mall celebration and on the exact date of my birthday Kaman, a thing that hardly happened in ages.

It should have been an outing with some people from work and I chose the date not cause of my BD but cause I would have finished my exam and was free on it.

Think what tipped them was the contact update requested a couple of months ago and some asked for mine in return, and some people are good with dates.

I blushed when I got the present, and the card made me speechless for the rest of the outing. Seems I forgot how it feels when people are being nice and courteous to me.

For them I am thankful and speechless.

Today is 25th of April, a prayer for all the brave men who died protecting our land and for the ones on their path. For Palestine, a deep wound in lots of our souls.

Dalia El Beheri and Peter Drucker.

Was in Cairo last Sunday for a meeting in Nasr City, accordingly couldn’t let this golden chance slip away without visiting Virgin in city stars.

Bought some really interesting books among which was the “Daily Drucker” it is a book about famous quotes from peter drucker and a short explanation about it, a quote for every day of the year.

When I got it a friend asked me, who is peter drucker? I looked at him with a shocked face and said, you are a business graduate aren’t you? But unfortunately he couldn’t make the connection. Anyways started to tell him a bit about him and he gave me the strangest look and went to the CD section.

An hour later after settling in casper and gambinis and just finished lunch I got back in my seat and watched the day light through the glass ceiling and getting my hopes up for the coming dessert (apple pie with vanilla ice cream) I heard a female voice interrupting my thoughts and saying her good byes for the waiters and she will be back soon as she is staying inter conti. She was loud and felt her in my head.

Seconds later, my friend looked astonished and told me, you know who just passed behind you? I said who? He said Dalia El Beheri. I asked who is Dalia El Beheri?
He laughed and I remembered her.

Hopfully my friend will be traveling soon to the US to prepare his masters in business or finance, bet when he is back he will know more about Peter Drucker than me and will know him better than Dalia El Bheri.

Pooh

I simply love him, I may not look like a pooh lover, or any cartoon character lover. But when you take a closer look to me you will find simple hidden clues, a background of pooh on my laptop with my name in it, a pooh metal key chain. When passing by toy stores usually I stop for a min and chk it out quickly teddies and poohs usually demand my attention instantly, especially the big gigantic ones. Just want to hold them awi.

Speaking of holding we keda, I have something against kissing and hugging males but this is a totally different story.

Prayers

Almost el Fajr time, and time for a prayer. The prayer goes to all humans suffering in silence and cant talk it out. For abused women and children, for workers for everyone holding back their scream thinking they are the ones who are wrong and they are the ones to be blamed. I pray for mercy, courage and strength to change and speak out loud.

Ps. Today I turn 32.

Green

Everyday when I go to work I pass by those two sceneries. They give me hope, feeling of the changing seasons and they are almost the only touch of green in my life.

I even may walk through this garden when I go to work on Saturdays to enjoy it in daylight. But unfortunately cant enjoy a walk a round it as Alex is like a war zone now, all the street and pavements are destroyed.

Tonight prayers will go for the peace of minds and hearts of all those I know.

Alex, over and out.

F-128

The F-128 isn’t just another advanced version of the F-117 AKA Night Hawk. It is the mean machine manufactured by the Italians and was spread all over the world and came to Egypt where it was treated with the respect it deserved and earned over the years.

The F-128 was a dream, many people dreamt of it more than the Mercedes Benz or BMW because it was attainable and available in many variants.

Its maneuvering capabilities are unquestioned compared to stronger cars with better engines. Low cost of ownership made it a great deal for the majority of the Egyptian people. Back in the good old times, the decision was easy, either you are F-128 guy (i.e.: cool, outgoing and adventures) or a Lada Guy (i.e. tough, introvert and looking to improve arm muscles with out having to pay for gym) attempts were made my Adaweya to imrove the Lada image by singing to it ( el lada ya 3osha2 el Lada )

Its presence in the street demanded immediate respect, u mess with it and it will retaliate and will cost peanuts to repair.

The F-128 was a real chick magnet, unofficial statistics showed that it outperformed Polo, Golf, Peugeot and some say even BMW but the last remains to be questioned and managed to become second after the VW beatle.

This post is a tribute for a white Fiat 128 that saved my life a couple of times by being strong, that never failed me when I needed it the most. It is time for it to rest and being pampered and another engine take the hard work off its back.

Attached is a video clip, showing a younger member, the F-126 which cant be compared with the great F-128 beating a Porsche 911, after which the Porsche escaped to avoid racing the F-128.

Thank you. Aziza the II

Growing up

April is my month of birth, and inshaa ALLAH will be turning 32, it just stroke me as another phase of growing up, I looked back and discovered 3 different stages that I mark.

And all 3 stages were highlighted by other.

The first stage was in junior 4, my dad gave me a copy of the apartment key and told me, now you are old enough to have it and keep it safe.

Second time happened while I was walking in the street back from school and a boy ran to me and said abeeh can I walk with you cause some guys wants to hit me.

And finally the third time was a couple of weeks ago, when 2 young ladies at work were talking and the conversation was heating up and one of them held back afraid I might tell, the other told her done worry, S is like an older brother.

Who knows, may be next time it would be S is like a father to us. I just want someone to grow old with.

Tonight prayers goes to a couple I knew from college who got divorced may ALLAH clear their hearts from grudges and remind them of what united them in first place.
song in the back of my mind, hisham abaas, zaman wana soghayer
